Infinix has officially unveiled its latest Note 50 series in Indonesia. This new lineup is set to replace the previous Infinix Note 40 series, which made its debut in March 2024. Alongside these new smartphones, Infinix introduced two groundbreaking technologies—E-Color Shift 2.0 and SolarEnergy-Reserving technology—at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona.
Enhanced Battery Life with SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology
One of the standout innovations introduced by Infinix is its SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology, designed to enhance battery efficiency. This advanced system utilizes ambient light to charge the device, reducing dependency on conventional charging methods. Infinix had initially demonstrated E-Color Shift technology at CES 2024, and the latest iteration, E-Color Shift 2.0, now incorporates AI-based customization for an improved user experience.
Smart Charging with SolarEnergy-Reserving Phone Case
At MWC 2025, Infinix also showcased a revolutionary phone case featuring SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology. According to the company, this innovative accessory significantly boosts battery life by leveraging advanced perovskite photovoltaic technology along with AI-based optimization. This technology captures light energy from both indoor and outdoor sources, converting it into electricity and storing it within a prototype case.
The stored energy is then transferred to the smartphone through a direct connection, ensuring a seamless power supply. Infinix has integrated an AI-powered algorithm that fine-tunes energy transfer in real time for optimal efficiency. Currently, this case can store up to 2W of energy, with plans to enhance its energy storage capacity in the future.
Infinix describes this feature as ‘Sunflower’ wireless charging technology, inspired by heliotropic plants. The system dynamically adapts to indoor lighting conditions, ensuring efficient energy conversion. Moving forward, the company plans to extend this technology to wearable devices and other digital gadgets.
E-Color Shift 2.0: AI-Driven Customization
The latest iteration of Infinix’s E-Color Shift technology brings a unique aesthetic upgrade to smartphones. With E-Color Shift 2.0, the back panel of the phone can change colors without consuming battery power. This AI-powered technology allows users to personalize their device by selecting from six dynamic patterns and six color palettes.
Additionally, AI algorithms enable the creation of 30 unique color combinations based on external factors such as the user’s preferences, surrounding environment, weather conditions, and wallpaper selection. This innovative feature enhances the visual appeal of Infinix smartphones while providing an interactive user experience.
With the introduction of the Note 50 series, Infinix continues to push the boundaries of mobile technology by integrating AI-driven customization and sustainable energy solutions. These advancements highlight the brand’s commitment to enhancing user experience while promoting energy efficiency.
